Business environment improvement activates industrial chain

Recently, at Shanmuhe Ethnic Specialty Food Company in Wanping Town, Yongshun County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, workers and machines were busy producing characteristic agricultural products such as tofu.

“Every process of producing tofu is strictly controlled to ensure the quality and taste of tofu.” An executive of the company said that at the product display area, local agricultural products that have been smoked and roasted with traditional methods are displayed, and each one is finely processed to ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards. 


 
Shanmuhe Ethnic Specialty Food Co., Ltd. was established in 2009. As an enterprise dedicated to promoting local specialties and cooperating with the village collective, it mainly produces and sells local cured products, fermented products, bean products, and wild vegetable series products. 

At present, the company has built a standardized food processing plant covering an area of 3,500 square meters, with over 20 employees and annual sales exceeding 10 million yuan.

The company adopts a benefit-linking mechanism of “company plus village collective economy plus farmer”, and carries out deep cooperation with the collective economic organizations of Lijia Village, providing job opportunities for villagers and establishing stable supply relationships with farmers.

It gives over 40,000 yuan of dividends every year to Lijia Village and provides jobs for about 30 surplus laborers. This cooperation model has effectively promoted the development of the local village collective economy, and increased villagers’ income, helping to further activate the agricultural product processing industrial chain in Wanping Town.
